I just got done hacking up TWEEMAIL, which is a set of ruby scripts to enable me to send email to my usual gmail account, and have it automatically tweeted to twitter.
This setup requires a dedicated Linux server, and is not for the faint of heart (but it’s really not that hard if you know what you’re doing).
